Entergy Nuclear Donates Toddville Training Center to
Hudson Valley Hospital Center
Cortlandt Manor, NY… The Hudson Valley Board of Directors recognized at its meeting of the board last month a donation by Entergy of the Toddville Training Center building, in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., to Hudson Valley Hospital Center, one of Indian Point’s top community neighbors and friends.
Michael Balduzzi, Sr.VP & COO, Entergy and John Federspiel, President, Hudson Valley Hospital Center outside of the Toddville Building.
Originally used as an auxiliary training facility for Indian Point employees, the Toddville building became uneconomical and redundant with the construction of the General Services Building, and has been vacant for several years. The building was included in Entergy’s purchase of Indian Point units 1 and 2 from Consolidated Edison. Hudson Valley Hospital Center had for years expressed interest in the building. The hospital and Entergy are strongly connected. Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Balduzzi serves on the hospital’s Board, as did President and Chief Nuclear Officer Mike Kansler before him.
"Once again Entergy has demonstrated its unwavering support of Hudson Valley Hospital Center, its mission and the growing community its serves," said John C. Federspiel, President. "We are so grateful to receive this property but also for Entergy's continuing legacy of support to our hospital over the years." Hudson Valley Hospital Center plans to utilize the building for hospital Outpatient Services and Medical Offices. Currently, the space is being utilized for off-site staff parking while the Hospital’s major expansion and renovation project is underway.
