Moms Donate to Mom
First Baby of the Year at Hudson Valley Hospital Center
Receives Gifts from Local Women and Babies R Us

Cortlandt Manor, NY – Beth Horan of GARRISON, and Eileen Jessup of FISHKILL made a New Year’s promise to give the first baby born at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor a gift, and they fulfilled their promise with a surprise visit to mom and dad at the hospital. Madelyn and Melvin Ramos of CROTON-ON-HUDSON are the proud parents of Julian Angel Ramos, born at the Women’s Pavilion for Birthing at HVHC on New Year’s Day. Beth runs a business called “Mommy Mavens” and offered the Ramos’ one week’s services to assist mom in the home, and “Eileen of “Bead n Babe” will make a custom bracelet for mom with baby’s name. An additional present of a gift basket worth $100 was given to the Ramos family from Babies R Us. Although little Julian was not the first 2007 baby born in the region, he does hold the distinction of being born on his grandfather’s 60th birthday that was also born on New Year’s Day.
