A monthly educational meeting for pre-op patients and those interested in bariatric surgery; family and friends are welcome! Hear from actual patients who have undergone surgery with the NY Bariatric Group. Discuss virtually scarless surgical options such as: single incision adjustable gastric banding surgery, single incision sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y).

Open to those living with diabetes, pre-diabetes, caregivers, and family members. All sessions include evidence-based disease management tools and health information presented by clinical experts. General education topics include reducing risks and prevention, checking blood sugar levels, guidelines for proper medication use, and managing medical complications. The importance of healthy lifestyle behaviors, including diet and nutrition, healthy cooking, and increased exercise and physical activity, will be emphasized.
