Hudson Valley Hospital Center Recognizes Donors

Cortlandt Manor, NY - (June 25, 2012) – The Foundation of Hudson Valley Hospital Center (HVHC), showed its gratitude to loyal donors on June 21 with an exclusive cocktail reception at the historic Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson.

In the spotlight were members of the Hendrick Hudson Leos Club, which raised more than $27,000 for the Hospital’s Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center with a May 5 Annual Stay-Awake-A-Thon event.  Also honored, was retiring long-time Hospital Board member and former Lakeland School District Superintendent of Schools Aram Casparian. The board also presented a plaque to Hudson Valley Hospital President John C. Federspiel, who is celebrating his 25th year as CEO of the Hospital.

“We are very grateful to the Hendrick Hudson Leos and to all our donors for their loyal support of our Hospital,’’ said John C. Federspiel. “This event is a way for us to show our thanks for all that they do for us, and to call special attention to those who go above and beyond.’’

More than 100 people attended the event at the colonial era Historic site overlooking the Hudson River. The evening featured a raw bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and outdoor bar where guests enjoyed music performed by world renowned violinist Daisy Joplin and the Ministers of Apollo who performed on fife and drums in 18th Century period costume. Guests were also given the opportunity to tour the historic buildings with guides in period costume.

The Donor Recognition Reception is an annual event hosted by the Foundation and is a benefit extended to donors who contribute $500 or more during the calendar year.
