Hospitality Shop
The Gifted Gourmet, under the direction of the Auxiliary, is open to the public as a convenience to family members, visitors and guests. Gourmet coffees, teas, soda fountain and a selection of foods are available at reasonable prices. Floral arrangements and attractive gifts are sold in the gift section.
Gift Shop
Hudson Valley Hospital Center's Auxiliary sponsors our Gift Shop. When you're looking for something special, our staff and volunteers will be happy to help our neighbors, visitors and patients with your immediate gift needs. We can assist you in picking out the perfect gift for that someone special. Our staff will deliver your gift on the same day it is ordered. We have a wonderful selection of unique and affordable items:

The Hudson Valley Hospital Center Gift Shop exists for the primary purpose to raise funds for the hospital. This year all proceeds will go to help fund Emergency Preparedness in our Emergency Room and Junior Volunteer Scholarships.

Pastoral Care
Our volunteer chaplains are here on a daily basis to meet your spiritual and emotional needs during your stay. If you wish to discuss any religious or spiritual concerns, please call x3330. For your information, the Hospital chapel is located on the 1st floor near the lobby elevator.
Chapel/Meditation Room or Quiet Room
Available to patients, family members, and visitors for prayer and/or meditation. It is located on the main floor near the lobby elevators.
Book Cart
Our volunteers visit each room to offer reading material. If you need a book, magazine or newspaper, you may also call the Volunteer Office on extension 3244.



Hudson Valley Hospital Center is accredited by the Joint Commission, a national organization that sets high standards for patient care and safety. PUBLIC NOTICE: The Joint Commission conducts accreditation surveys of all hospitals. The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization. Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality and safety-of-care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters should contact hospital administration. If these concerns are not resolved by the hospital, you may request a public information interview with the Joint Commission's field representatives at the time of the survey. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for a public information interview must be made in writing and should be sent to the Joint Commission. The request must also indicate the nature of the information to be provided at the interview. . The Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring will acknowledge requests in writing or by telephone. An Account Representative will contact the individual requesting the public information interview, indicating the location, date, and time of the interview and the name of the surveyor who will conduct the interview. This notice is posted in accordance with the Joint Commission's requirements and may not be removed.
