Cortlandt Manor, NY - (August 30, 2011) – Hudson Valley Hospital Center's phone lines are back in service following some interruptions during the storm. Yesterday callers were asked to dial the hospital's switchboard at 914-737-9000 because direct lines to departments and patient rooms were not working due to fiber optic cable problems related to Hurricane Irene.
Hudson Valley Hospital Center made it through Hurricane Irene relatively unscathed thanks to advance preparation and the dedication of hospital employees.
When it comes to backpacks, less is more. Overloaded backpacks can cause back strain and, in growing children, can do damage, sometimes resulting in scoliosis or curvature of the spine.
