Cortlandt Manor, NY - (October 24, 2012)– The bras are in and we need your help to select a winner!

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Hudson Valley Hospital Center is holding a bra decorating contest. More than a dozen people have submitted entries with themes ranging from a “Lady Gaga” bra to the “Mardi-Bra.” The submissions will be on display tomorrow night and guests can vote for their favorite during the “Jazz up your Foundation” Breast Cancer Awareness event at the Hospital’s Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center.  To view the entries, visit the Hospital’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/HudsonValleyHospital.

The evening’s festivities, from 6- 8 p.m. tomorrow - will include a breast cancer awareness health fair, light fare and signature “Pink Drinks” created especially for the event by area restaurants Reuben’s and 12Grapes. Reuben’s will serve strawberry Margaritas and 12Grapes will serve pink peach Sangria. 12Grapes will offer the drink in its restaurant throughout the month of November with $1 going to the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center for every drink sold.

The event will also feature a talk by Author Amy Curran Baker about her book, ““Now What? A Patient’s Guide to Recovery After Mastectomy.” The event is free.
